　　沒想到，暑假我竟然當(dāng)上了英語小老師；更沒想到，學(xué)生竟然是我的爺爺。

　　“孫女，我想學(xué)英語，你教教我好嗎？”暑假的`第二天，爺爺就鄭重其事地對我說。“您學(xué)英語干嗎，爺爺？”我不解地望著爺爺。爺爺63歲了，都退休很多年了。“怎么，嫌爺爺老了嗎，我學(xué)學(xué)英語，有機會出國旅游，住宿、吃飯、乘車也好和外國佬交流啊�！笨粗鵂敔斈枪烧J真勁，我不得不接受了這個“學(xué)生”。

　　第一天，我教爺爺Good morning(早上好)，Good afterroon(下午好)，good night(晚安)，thanks(謝謝)等英語單詞，開始，爺爺總是讀不準音，特別是晚安，我一連教了三遍，爺爺都沒有學(xué)會，氣得我忍不住脫口罵了句：“您怎么這樣笨啊�！睜敔斠膊缓靡馑嫉卮瓜骂^，像孩子似的羞紅了臉。后來，我急中生智，在每一個英語單詞旁邊，用中文注上怎么讀音，比如good night旁寫上戈納特。果然，這個辦法好，爺爺讀得準確了。

　　第二天，我又教爺爺學(xué)了apple（蘋果）、banana（香蕉）、noodles（面條）、wonton（餛飩）等，別說，爺爺雖然已過花甲之年，但學(xué)起來有板有眼，極其認真。對英語單詞的書寫也很規(guī)范，一筆一劃都寫得工工整整，清清爽爽。

　　第三天，我又教了爺爺Spring Festival（春節(jié)）、Qingming（清明）、Mid-Autumn Festival（中秋節(jié)）、還有Happy birthday（生日快樂）等單詞，爺爺竟然又全部學(xué)會了，我不得不從心里佩服爺爺，佩服爺爺那種好學(xué)的精神。

　　If you just stop student on campus and ask him what he is busy about, chances are that he will tell you he is preparing for a certificate of some kind. Investigation points to the fact that it has become a new craze for university and college students to get more certificates.

More certificates will doubtlessly impress the employers, so the students are compelled to run from one exam to another. Besides, more and more universities and colleges modify their education training which includes several creative credits. If students fail to get such credits, they can not graduate. As a result, most students choose to pursue certificates.

　　造成這種現(xiàn)象的主要原因有兩個。首先，大學(xué)和大學(xué)生面臨著畢業(yè)后找工作的壓力。隨著大學(xué)擴招，越來越多的畢業(yè)生不得不為有限的工作崗位而競爭。怎樣才能更有競爭力呢?更多的證書無疑會給雇主留下深刻的印象，所以學(xué)生們不得不從一個考試到另一個考試奔忙著。此外，越來越多的.大學(xué)和學(xué)院修改了他們的教育培訓(xùn)，其中包括了一些創(chuàng)新學(xué)分。如果學(xué)生不能獲得這樣的學(xué)分，他們就不能畢業(yè)了。因此，大多數(shù)學(xué)生選擇了證書。

　　As far as I am concerned, the students should have a more rational attitude toward certificate, because such certificates do not necessarily represent one’s ability. For me, inner ability speaks louder than certificates, which can only be compared to appearance. Opportunities only arise when you are excellent enough in your field.
