　　They have different kinds of colors, such as red, yellow, and black. And they have many shapes, too. Some are long, but some are round. Some have gib heads, but some have long tails.

　　現(xiàn)在，人們在家中養(yǎng)寵物的現(xiàn)象很普遍。人們擔(dān)心到底在家養(yǎng)寵物好不好。一些人認(rèn)為在家養(yǎng)寵物可以帶給我們快樂，并且在某些特殊情況下可以幫助我們。但是，一些人認(rèn)為養(yǎng)寵物會浪費(fèi)時間和金錢。就我來說，我認(rèn)為養(yǎng)寵物能帶給我們快樂。原因如下：

　　First of all, we won’t feel so lonely if we keep pets. For most people, they are working outside while they don’t have any companions by their side. Hence, if they raise pets, then they can play with pets rather than stay alone. Besides, most people deem pets as their best friends. When people feel depressed, then they can talk to their pets to relieve themselves.

　　首先，我們養(yǎng)寵物不會感到孤單。許多人都在外面工作，沒有同伴在身邊。但是，如果養(yǎng)寵物的話，他們就不會自己呆著，而是有寵物相伴。而且，人們也會把寵物視為自己的.好朋友，當(dāng)感覺到難過的時候，寵物不會讓他們太難過。

　　Secondly, pets can help us in some special cases. You can ask your pets to do certain things for you to some extent. For example, we have many trained dogs that can guide the blind people to anywhere they want as if those dogs are their eyes.

　　英語一直是我最頭痛的一門功課。因為在我看來有無數(shù)個毫無規(guī)律的英語單詞要背誦，還有那莫名其妙的聽力，都令我煩惱不已。但這學(xué)期我發(fā)現(xiàn)我似乎對這門討厭的功課產(chǎn)生了興趣。

　　事情的起因是爸爸出差到北京，給我?guī)Щ亓艘慌_讀書郎英語同步讀書機(jī)。我立刻被它漂亮的外表吸引住了，因為它像一臺高檔的筆記本電腦。打開讀書機(jī)，左邊是音標(biāo)，分為元音、輔音；右邊是26個英語字母。最大的好處是它可以下載我上課用的PEP教材。媽媽讓我打開英語課本，翻到第1頁，把讀書機(jī)中的頁碼調(diào)至相同頁碼，我再用那神奇的信號筆一點(diǎn)，點(diǎn)到哪兒，讀書機(jī)就發(fā)出標(biāo)準(zhǔn)的讀音，點(diǎn)第二遍時它就譯出這個單詞的中文含義，真是太神奇了！

　　剛開始幾天，我每天一放學(xué)就抱著這臺讀書郎，漸漸地新鮮勁也就過去了。媽媽看準(zhǔn)了時機(jī)，立即調(diào)動我的積極性，把老師當(dāng)天教的英語單詞分批教我，并慢慢告訴我這個字母在單詞中所發(fā)的音。這樣，日積月累，慢慢地我對有些字母的發(fā)音規(guī)律也有所掌握。正像媽媽所說的那樣，一旦你會讀準(zhǔn)這個單詞，那么這個單詞的一半已被記住，只要稍一用心，就可記住全部。媽媽告訴我：學(xué)習(xí)英語要循序漸進(jìn)，因為記憶會衰減，所以學(xué)單詞時，先學(xué)一遍，過一會兒復(fù)習(xí)一遍，到第二天再復(fù)習(xí)一遍，一星期、一個月內(nèi)再次復(fù)習(xí)，這樣能把短期記憶變成長期記憶。這種方法叫作思馬德記憶。按照媽媽所說的方法，我試了一下。哎，果真有效果！漸漸地我對背誦單詞有點(diǎn)竅門了。這個學(xué)期六個單元所要求的四會單詞，我全部做到了會聽、說、讀、寫。

　　因為背誦單詞有了明顯的進(jìn)步，得到了老師的表揚(yáng)，我的.學(xué)習(xí)熱情倍增，對聽力也產(chǎn)生了興趣�，F(xiàn)在我拿到聽力課文，不象以前那樣手忙腳亂，而是先把課文、圖案看一遍。如果是選擇題，我會看清圖案，了解這幾幅圖的大致含義，再聽錄音。我現(xiàn)在能抓住幾個重點(diǎn)詞語與圖案進(jìn)行對照，基本能做到準(zhǔn)確無誤。對閱讀也同樣，抓住幾個關(guān)鍵詞語和下面的問題進(jìn)行對照。
