Until very recently it was possible to use only natural materials of various kinds for the making of clothing.Both plants and animals supply these natural materials.From plants we get cotton and linen.From animals we get such materials as wool,silk,leather,and furs.
Modern man now has cloth which is made synthetically.In 1884 the first artificial fiber was made,called artificial silk,rayon,nylon and dacron are best-known products developed later.

在我剛上小學(xué)時(shí)，學(xué)好英語(yǔ)是我的一個(gè)大問(wèn)題，每次看到英語(yǔ)字母時(shí)，就難過(guò)得想哭。
英語(yǔ)復(fù)雜，每天早上天不亮，我媽就用“獅吼功”把我從溫暖的被窩中叫起，讓我聽英語(yǔ)，說(shuō)是多聽才會(huì)。可憐的我只好洗耳恭聽，可里面放的`句子，我是一個(gè)也聽不懂，越聽越像催眠曲，不一會(huì)兒，我的上眼皮就開始和下眼皮“打架”，漸漸地，眼睛就瞇了起來(lái)，還不等睡著呢，媽媽便過(guò)來(lái)了。如果被媽媽發(fā)現(xiàn)，自然少不了一頓臭罵，于是，我每次在媽媽來(lái)的時(shí)候，便裝出聚精會(huì)神的樣子，所以總能過(guò)關(guān)。但夜路走多了，難免會(huì)撞上鬼，我也有好幾次被媽媽發(fā)現(xiàn)，挨了一頓批評(píng)不說(shuō)，聽英語(yǔ)的次數(shù)也增加了不少。
英語(yǔ)復(fù)雜，每天晚上做完作業(yè)后，媽媽總會(huì)讓我給她背單詞。每每到了這個(gè)時(shí)候，我恨不得把英語(yǔ)書全部都撕掉，讓媽媽再也不能考問(wèn)我單詞�？蛇@個(gè)美夢(mèng)終究是不會(huì)實(shí)現(xiàn)的。我只好拖著沉重的步伐，走向客廳�？紗�(wèn)時(shí)，只要你走進(jìn)我家，就會(huì)發(fā)現(xiàn)，一個(gè)小女孩坐在沙發(fā)上，正滿臉淚水，結(jié)結(jié)巴巴地背著單詞。沒(méi)錯(cuò)！這就是我被媽媽考問(wèn)單詞時(shí)的場(chǎng)景。每次，媽媽總是先讓我在陽(yáng)臺(tái)上背單詞，認(rèn)為自己背好了，再去找她�？擅看�，在陽(yáng)臺(tái)上背時(shí)，張口就來(lái)，十分順利�？梢坏綃寢屆媲�，就像從來(lái)都沒(méi)有背過(guò)單詞一樣，那些英語(yǔ)字母就像小精靈一樣，在我的腦海里滑來(lái)滑去。當(dāng)我準(zhǔn)備將它們組成一個(gè)單詞時(shí)，他們卻又開始捉迷藏，總是讓我費(fèi)好半天的勁兒，才將它們捉住，組成單詞，可常常把它們調(diào)換位置，或是讓他們搬家，有時(shí)多一個(gè)少一個(gè)也說(shuō)不定。

To be honest, his assistance has a great impact on me. It was Mr. Liu who made me perceive the importance of learning English well. Had it not been for his guidance and encouragement, I couldn't have won the first place in the city English speech contest. Without his aid, I wouldn't have boosted my integrated skills in English. I'll definitely remember his kindness and help forever.
