The 21st CENTURY speech contest was held on Friday afternoon in the lecture hall, Gaoxin
Campus. It was great. Each grade in our school had a speech contest. Eighteen candidates from Grade Six took part in it. The first three winners would go to the next grade.
All of the speakers prepared well for the speech. When the contest began, some of the speakers were very nervous as they were giving speech to the audience.
The thing that made me shocked was, when the speakers were giving a speech and the fellow students were so quiet that you could hear the speakers clearly. When our class speakers went up, our whole class was cheering, it was crazy. The speakers delivered their speeches very fluently that I couldn’t even do it so good.
I remember all of the speakers talked about their parents. They said all of the good things about their parents, but no one said their flaws. But I think everyone has already done a great job. They all did their best.
Congratulations to all the candidates on their excellent jobs. I hope all of them will do better and better in the future.

Obviously, students are not free from any troubles. Some students are addicted to(沉溺于) TV. TV receivers in some flats are still on late at night or never turned off on weekends. Some students spend much spare time watching TV programs, which is seriously interfering with their responsibilities at school. Still some students＇ eyes are getting worse.
In my opinion, moderation (適度，適可而止) is the key to everything including watching TV programs. I would not recommend that students try to eliminate TV receivers totally from their flats. However, we need to strike some kind of a balance between the TV programs and school studies. Learning to successfully manage time at a young age will definitely pay off in later life.

酸
我入門的情況下，只聽到老師用我聽不懂的英文來(lái)問好大家，我一下就暈頭暈?zāi)X了，但我只能跟隨老師，看見書，了解一個(gè)單詞算一個(gè)，再把一個(gè)一個(gè)語(yǔ)句了解，由于如果不那樣，就相當(dāng)于浪費(fèi)了那巨額的培訓(xùn)費(fèi)。聽著老師一個(gè)個(gè)單詞如流水般從口中滴下來(lái)：哪些“三克油（Thank you）”，哪些“哈羅單車（Hello）”，哪些“估的摸林（Goodmorning）”……搞得我頭暈?zāi)X脹，啼笑皆非。這“酸酸”的覺得可真難受呀！
甜
暑期我出入了英語(yǔ)音標(biāo)班和單詞班，打好啦一定的.基本，原本我要學(xué)好多個(gè)童話劇才可以進(jìn)到鋼琴考級(jí)班，可是老師見我跟得快，應(yīng)當(dāng)能夠追上她們，因此 我也“跳級(jí)”了。聽見這一信息，我內(nèi)心的哪個(gè)甜呀，比樂不可支還樂不可支！
苦
但是好景不常，由于我的膽量較小，因此 老師提出問題叫我回應(yīng)時(shí)，我焦慮不安無(wú)比，答起來(lái)支支吾吾，眼巴巴令人看熱鬧，并且有幾日身體不適，課也沒聽進(jìn)來(lái)，還被老師“K”了一頓——訓(xùn)了一頓，之后老師了解真實(shí)情況了，就要我保重身體，快點(diǎn)兒好起來(lái)。落下來(lái)的課全是媽媽幫我補(bǔ)的。這苦味道真是比不加糖的現(xiàn)磨咖啡還苦！
辣
歷經(jīng)和老師學(xué)生們長(zhǎng)期交往，我逐漸融入了這兒的生活，回應(yīng)干干脆脆，提出問題急急忙忙，伸手積極主動(dòng)，每一次打游戲都把臉蛋玩得紅通通，也受老師“寵溺”，全部一個(gè)“辣妹子”。

Beijing has placed strict restriction on the number of newly purchased car in the city and the policy bas sparked heated discussion. Some people support the policy, saying it，s a powerful method to cope with the severe traffic congestion in the capital. With cars increasing drastically in the past few years, severe traffic jams occur not only in rush hours but at any time of the day now.
Others, however, aie strongly against the limitations. They argue that the great number of official cars，which are frequently used, is a big factor causing traffic congestion. But the policy mainly aims at private cars and has no dear restrictions on the use of official cars. Besides, car purchase limitation would hinder the development of China's automobile industry，and more people would lose their jobs as a result.
Personally, I think the restriction of buying and use of cars, official cars incladed, is inevitable and just a matter of time for Beijing.
