　　The summer vacation had come round again. I was happy that I could forget about school at least for a while. Lest I fool around all through this summer vacation, I made a plan as to how to spend it.

　　First, I thought I should go over all those things my teachers taught in the previous term so that I could have a better understanding of them.

　　Then I thought I should take up some forms of exercise, such as walking, running and rowing, to keep me physically strong. It stood to reason that with such a good plan I should make the best of my vacation time. I did, because I lived up to what I had planned.

　　比賽開始。首先，是兩位主持人一番簡短的介紹，然后選手開始挨個(gè)兒上臺。每個(gè)人都有一份課件，上面是演講內(nèi)容，選手要流暢地背出稿子，才能得高分。他們一口流利的英語，聽得我云里霧里。我不由得感嘆道，這就是差距��！不過根據(jù)課件上的英文，我還是認(rèn)出了一些單詞。

　　選手的情況也不同：有的一口英語說得頭頭是道，聽得人一愣一愣的；有的上了臺過于緊張，忘了詞，又下來整理整理思緒再上臺；也有的背得不錯，卻出了一點(diǎn)小插曲的……可謂是千姿百態(tài)。

　　選手們講的內(nèi)容各不相同：有的流暢地講了那些經(jīng)典的故事；有的介紹了自己喜歡的動物或東西；還有的講了自己從一句話或者一件事中感悟的道理……內(nèi)容各不相同。

　　通過這次比賽，我深切地體會到了：人外有人，天外有天。我要更加努力地學(xué)習(xí)英語喲！
