　　The dodo only lived on a small island in the Indian Ocean centuries ago. When Portuguese sailors got there in the 16th century, they killed a great many dodos easily for food. By 1681,the dodo disappeared completely. As we all know, animals are our friends and we should live in harmony with them. However. the greed and selfish people are trying to destroy their peaceful life. Some people cut too many trees , destroying some animals’ home. Some people kill them for food. Moreover, some people kill them just for fur and skin. I do hope that the government can take more measures to protect them as soon as possible. Laws must be made to prevent people from destroying the forest .Whoever kills wildlife should be punished. What’s more ,all of us should be aware of the importance of protecting wildlife. It is very important for us to make friends with wild animals and protect them well, because to protect wildlife is to protect ourselves.

　　在上初中之前，我一直都認(rèn)為英語就是由ABC……這26個(gè)字母組成的單詞連成的句子，比我們的國語中文學(xué)起來要簡單很多，知道它也有語法，也有語音語調(diào)，卻從來不知道英語并沒有我想象的那么枯燥，它和人類一樣擁有著生命力

　　在初一那年暑假，英語老師為了讓我們的假期更加有趣充實(shí)一點(diǎn)，便建議我們每個(gè)星期看一部英文電影，這對(duì)于我真的是一個(gè)極大的誘惑。在剛開始看的那幾天，我只是單單看個(gè)電影情節(jié)，過了兩三個(gè)星期后，我發(fā)現(xiàn)電影中的演員們所說的話語配上有趣滑稽的面部表情，顯得惟妙惟肖。我深受感染，有時(shí)看得入迷，嘴里還會(huì)跟著念叨幾句，語音語調(diào)跟上了心里還會(huì)頗有一點(diǎn)成就感。

　　我的英語家教老師覺得我口語進(jìn)步了很多，有的單詞沒學(xué)也會(huì)（雖然不認(rèn)識(shí)單詞，但單詞的讀音在電影里聽過，便記住了），老師問我最近在學(xué)口語嗎，我便老實(shí)告訴她看英語電影的是。后來，老師又建議我去聽一些國外的.英文歌曲，也有助于我提升口語，我當(dāng)然十分樂意的接受了這個(gè)好意見。

　　后來我媽給我買了一個(gè)mp4，歌不多，只有64首，但全都是英文歌，我每天都要聽上一個(gè)小時(shí)，要求自己不管知不知道歌詞的意思，也要把全部歌都學(xué)會(huì)。問我原因，其實(shí)也沒什么，只是打心底里喜歡罷了。

　　我喜歡英語，并不是為了追求時(shí)尚，而是正真的喜歡它的風(fēng)格，喜歡他的每一個(gè)字母，每一個(gè)單詞，在他的字里行間中處處都散發(fā)著生命的氣息，令我陶醉。
