　　From 20xx to 20xx, I spent my college life in Hunan First Normal College. Reminding my college life, I think it was of great significance.

　　從20xx到20xx，我在湖南第一師范學院度過了我的大學生活。說起我的大學生活，我認為是很有意義的。

　　When I was in college, I studied very hard. As a major of English, I often practiced my oral English. Every time, I could think in English. After thinking and expressed my thoughts to others in English. Although sometimes I couldn't speak English so freely, other people still appreciated me, because of my confidence.

　　我在大學的時候，很努力學習。因為是英語專業(yè)，我經(jīng)常聯(lián)系英語口語。 每一次，我能用英語的方式來思考。在思考之后我會把我的'想法用英語表達給其他人。雖然有時我英語說得不是很流利，其他人還是很欣賞我，因為我的信心。

　　There are many ways for students to get to know the outside world. First, they can know the world from mass media, such as newspapers, TV, radios, magazines and advertisements which provide information about political events, social news, the latest development in science and technology and so forth. Second, they can know the world from social services, such as job瞙unting, private teaching which offer students the opportunities to know the society. Third, students can also make some investigations in factories and villages, talking with the workers or farmers to learn their experiences.

　　As a student, I think the first thing I should do is to study hard to lay a good foundation for my future job. The other thing I can do is to do some partime jobs to gain personal experience about the world outside the campus.

　　My university life has been one of the most colorful parts of my life. I will never forget the day when I first stepped into the university. At that very moment, I was impressed immediately by the beautiful campus, the enthusiastic students and the good learning atmosphere. I fell in love with the campus at once.

　　First, studying on the campus gives me lots of pleasure. After some very arduous military training, I became absolutely absorbed in my studies. Different from high school courses, the courses in university are specific and interesting. I can get information not only from teachers in class, but also outside of class, such as in the library, on the Internet and so on. These courses arouse my insatiable desire for knowledge and make me learn and digest as much as I can. To be frank, I had some difficulties in keeping up with my teachers at first, but later with the help of my teachers, I made remarkable progress. Learning is a long process, and I will continue to be a learner throughout my life.

　　Besides, social activities on campus provide me with more chances to learn. I will never forget the days I served as a volunteer at the 20xx Shanghai World Expo. After some training in Chinese history and language skills both in Japanese and English, I endeavored to serve our distinguished guests from all over the world enthusiastically. I was a volunteer as well as a disseminator of our splendid culture. There was no doubt that I came across many difficulties at first, such as humid weather, language barriers and so on. Thanks to other volunteers’ help, I overcame those difficulties. When it was time to depart, I couldn’t help bursting into tears, because I had developed a deep friendship with other volunteers. This precious experience made me aware of the huge responsibility on my shoulders. Just as the old saying goes, “we make a living by what we get, and we make a life by what we give.”

　　In my opinion, university life has been the most splendid time in my life so far, and many students cherish this period of time and hope that in the future they may become outstanding members of society. But there are also some ignorant students who get together every day only to eat, drink, play computer games or date. They completely forget their mission as a college student and their responsibility to their family to do their best in school.

　　I want to say that although there are lots of difficulties or setbacks during our college days, we should set our goals and achieve them. I do hope we can try our best to become productive citizens of the country and make great contributions to the nation.

　　Generally speaking, twoay weekends are not only a time for us college students to relax, but also a time to improve ourselves. To test from a week’s hard work, we have plenty of recreation opportunities. We can read to our hearts’ content, can go sightseeing, and can play games with our friends. Some students find partime jobs at weekends so that they can ease their families’ financial burdens.

　　However, some students are just wasting their time. Some spend their time playing cards, and even drinking and eating with their friends. Some spend the whole weekend going traveling and feel tired when they return to school, so that their studies will be greatly affected.

　　As a student, I think the first thing I should do is to go over the lessons. Spending two or three hours in going over lessons every weekend will give me great returns. After finishing my schoolwork, I can do many other things, for example, mountain climbing, watching films and skating. In short, if we plan well, we can achieve a bit on weekends. Otherwise, we’ll get nothing.
