Teenagers and Video Games
These days most adults seem to think that most teenagers spend all of their time playing video games. However, when we surveyed 100 students in our school on the topic of video games, we discovered some interesting results.
According to the survey, playing video games was only chosen as the third favorite leisure activity, with 22 votes. Also we can see the time spent on it varies from boys to girls. Most girls spent between 0 and 2 hours one day while one more hour went for boys on average. It's apparent to show that boys are addicted to it more easily. Finally, as for the students who were interviewed, 47 percent held the view that they spent less time compared with that of last year.
It's a good phenomenon, to some degree, showing that the quality of students' leisure time is improving, though we still need to keep an eye on the future trends.

Yesterday my classmates and I went to on a picnic. According to our plan we would climb the West Mountain.
Early in the morning all of us gathered at the gate of our school, we started of at seven, soon it began to have a little rain. We kept on riding for an hour till we reached the foot of the mountain.
The little rain stopped then. We began to climb. Soon we reached the top of the mountain. How beautiful it was when we looked at the view from the top. We ran. sang, jump, played chess, and had the pictures taken on the top of the mountain. and had lunch on the rocks. How happy we were!
After the lunch we went down the mountain. We got home at four, all of us almost gave out.

審題細(xì)心
審題好比駕駛員打方向，方向?qū)α�，哪怕開得慢點，也會順利到目的地。如果審題不清，書面表達(dá)的成績不知道會有多慘。學(xué)生真正開始寫作前，必須花相當(dāng)一部分時間做寫前閱讀、思考等準(zhǔn)備，包含以下四方面：
1)審體裁。根據(jù)情景提示首先要弄清寫何種體裁文章。
2)審結(jié)構(gòu)。明確開始部分、正文部分和結(jié)尾部分，定好段落。
3)審格式。如日記、便條、書信、通知的格式等。
4)審內(nèi)容。弄清什么必需寫，哪些略寫，尤其是圖畫式書面表達(dá)，要學(xué)會連貫性，讀懂圖的意思。
5)審人稱和時態(tài)。弄清書面表達(dá)要求用何種人稱，根據(jù)材料確定短文的基本時態(tài)。

句式豐富
一篇可讀性強(qiáng)的文章，通常能較好體現(xiàn)學(xué)生對英語語言結(jié)構(gòu)、詞塊、句式的運用。因此各類句式的多元呈現(xiàn)往往可以提升書面表達(dá)的成績。
初中階段英語寫作常用的句式如下：There be…;the more…the more…;It’s adj for sb to do something;I think/believe/suppose…(賓從);It can’t be put into realexperiment.(被動)等。

情感真實
同樣的話題，有些文章沒什么情感，冷冰冰;有些文章很有溫度，有真情實感。
情感真實主要可通過如下方法實現(xiàn)：
1)內(nèi)容的呈現(xiàn)。
比如：在書面表達(dá)My dream中，大部分的作文都還是停留在表面上。但這個例子：I want to be a good father because my daddy was always so busy when Iwas a little boy.He had no time with me and my mum…雖然文章的文采并不是很好，但很有真情實感，令讀者有心動的感覺，也是好文章。
2)副詞的運用。
在句子的某些位置，添加副詞，可以使句子和文段更有人性味，更有情感性。如：Ireallyenjoythebeautyoftheseainthesun.加了一個really，就有豐富了。
思維多元
從近五年中考書面表達(dá)命題情況看，書面表達(dá)話題雖多元，但在設(shè)題上基本為半開放形式，因此半控制部分學(xué)生需要涵蓋題目所給信息并進(jìn)行適當(dāng)發(fā)揮，而半開放部分，則要求學(xué)生根據(jù)話題內(nèi)容、自己的生活閱歷、個人思維層次結(jié)合自己的英語表述自己的個人看法。
有些學(xué)生的`英語水平比較好，但因為在思維上比較局限想不出比較有深度、寬度和廣度的觀點，這也會在一定程度上約束書面表達(dá)的質(zhì)量。
要善于模仿
一些同學(xué)的辦法往往是背一堆范文，然后再到考場上進(jìn)行一個“剪切”、“粘貼”的工作，真正的模仿重點永遠(yuǎn)要放在一定的句式結(jié)構(gòu)上，而非個別的詞匯。有一個句式說：“…for the simple reason that…”表示某種現(xiàn)象的原因是什么，用在高考寫作中，我們就可以拿來解釋為什么自行車在中國如此的流行：“The bicycle is very popular in China for the simple reason that…”。然而，很多同學(xué)一談到原因仍然是“…because…”。如果要表示“總是能夠”的概念，很多同學(xué)提筆就會寫can always，但理想的句子應(yīng)該是用雙重否定表示強(qiáng)烈的肯定，用never fail to。
要靈活變通
在批改過上萬份同學(xué)們英語作文中，經(jīng)常能發(fā)現(xiàn)一些將中文生硬地翻譯成英文的表達(dá)法。有一句話叫做“立志如山，行道如水”，寫英文作文，一定要有決心把它 寫好，有信心把意思表達(dá)清楚，這是“立志如山”;但關(guān)鍵是遇到問題時要有個靈活的態(tài)度，能像流水一樣變通解決問題。有個翻譯界的故事說：在某大型國際會議 的招待會上，一道菜是用雞蛋做的。與會的客人問翻譯:“What is it made of”本來是非常簡單的一個問題，結(jié)果翻譯太緊張，忘了“egg”這個詞，但是他急中生智，回答：“It is made of Miss Hen’s son.”這里，就是一個靈活變通的范例。繞道表達(dá)，是寫作中應(yīng)該常常運用的一種方法。
要細(xì)心觀察
注意英語中一些表達(dá)上的習(xí)慣。比如在正式文體的寫作中，很少用 “it isn’t”這樣的略縮形式，而往往是一板一眼地寫作 “it is not”。同理，在正式文體中的日期一般不縮寫，阿拉伯?dāng)?shù)字一般會用英文表達(dá)(特別長的數(shù)字除外)。
許多同學(xué)在寫作文時，習(xí)慣于把“since”“because” “for”這樣的詞放在句首引導(dǎo)原因狀語從句。事實上，在我們見到的英語報刊雜志文章中，這樣的從句一般都是放在主句之后的。另外, “and”也常常被誤放在一句話的開頭，表示兩個句子之間的并列或遞進(jìn)關(guān)系。其實，經(jīng)常留心地道的英語文章能發(fā)現(xiàn)，如果是并列關(guān)系，完全可以不用連詞;如果是遞進(jìn)關(guān)系，用“furthermore” “what is more”更為普遍。
要心有全局
英文寫作如果結(jié)構(gòu)意識良好，應(yīng)試寫作就簡化成為一個填空的過程了，適當(dāng)?shù)靥钊胗^點、素材，文章就自然而然立起來了。

Last summer holiday, I took a trip to Yunnan. It is in the southern part of our country .It is really a very beautiful place grand mountains, clean rivers and kind people. Trees and flowers are seen everywhere. Every year there are lots and lots of visitors.
Maybe you have heard about Shi Lin . There are all kinds of strange stones. Some of the small stones look like graceful girls; and the big stones look like handsome men. Other stones look like cats, peafowls, double-edged swords, mice, elephants and so on. Of all the stones, the stone like a beautiful girl in a legend is the most famous .Its name is A Shima.
I also went to Li Jiang. The roads in that city are just like the Eight Diagrams. Any road in the city goes to the center of Li Jiang. A river runs through the whole city. If you go along the river, youll never get lost. There are many ethnic minority people in Yunnan. They are very cordial. And they all like singing and dancing. We danced with them around the campfire that night. I really had a good time.
I like the elephants and fruits there best. An elephant is even taller than me! I even mounted the elephant, though I was very afraid at first. But the elephant seemed very friendly. I took some photos with it. The fruits there are very fresh and delicious. They are very good for our health.
The trip to Yunnan impressed me greatly. I will never forget it.

The wind gently murmured,puffed and sometimes sighed like a summer breeze lifting the leaves along the livelong night.The cat was curling up quiet in her bed.The mouse was sleeping carefree in his gallery.The dog was lying swwet on the sofa.Even the earth itself was sleeping in tranquility,exept that some house door faintly creaked upon its hinge,telling us a remote inward warmth.Nature was at her midnight work with feathery flakes whirling down in the wind,as if she was showering her silvery seeds over the fields.
Finally I woke up.The floor creaked under my feet as I moved towards the window.The snow as warm as cotton was lying calmly upon the window sill and the stillness of the morning was extremely impressive.
The roofs were standing under their snow caps,while the eaves were wearing their glittering ornaments.The trees raised white arms to the sky on every side,and where there was a wall,there were some fantastic forms of snow stretching exhilarated in the dim landscape,as if Nature had carved her fresh desighs by night as models for man's art.
Silently,I opened the door and stepped outside to face the cutting air.The moon had already lost some of its glow and the land was bathed in a dull mist.A lurid light in the east proclaimed the approach of day while the weatern landscape was bleak with some spooky stillness like a wizard kingdom.What you could only hear was the creepy sounds,seemingly out of the hell----the barking of dogs,the hammering of blacksmith,the lowing of cows and the crying of pigs under the butcher's knife.
Gradually,the lurid light darkened and spread across the west.Every flower,every tree and every weed were bathed in the sunshine.Suddenly,it turned out that all the sounds were not for any melancholy they suggested,but for their twilight bustle which was too solemn and mysterious for me.
I moved on,treading briskly along the road,the dry and crisped snow crunching under my feet.
